Today, the Civil Protection service sent out alerts about rising water levels in rivers. Due to heavy rainfall, the Tagus River basin is under a high risk of flooding. A total of 52 hydrological warnings have been issued, 20 of them at the highest, red alert level. Currently, 22 Spanish dams are releasing water, including the Cedillo Dam on the border with Portugal — about 5,500 m³/s, with the volume continuing to increase. Emergency water releases are also underway at Portuguese dams. This will lead to a sharp rise in river levels, especially in coastal areas. Material taken from https://t.me/s/pronews_portugal
