The Tax Authority has published its 2026 calendar outlining all deadlines for filing tax returns and paying taxes, aiming to help taxpayers plan their budgets and avoid penalties. The tax year begins even before the IRS return is filed: taxpayers are advised to confirm and categorize expenses in the e-fatura system, then review deductions and, if any discrepancies are found, use the complaint window. Only after that should the IRS return be submitted. The calendar lists submission deadlines, which do not affect the amount paid or refunded, as well as IMI and IUC payment dates. The IRS notes that filing and payment are treated separately and warns that penalties may apply for late documentation. Taxpayers are encouraged to consult the calendar on the Portal das Finanças to plan ahead, spread out expenses, and receive refunds on time. Material taken from https://t.me/s/lepta
