The 5G.CONNECT project aims to bring high-speed mobile connectivity to remote areas of northern Portugal, including Douro, Terras de Trás-os-Montes, Alto Tâmega and other regions, as well as the Douro River navigation corridor. The initiative will deploy a multi-operator infrastructure using 5G Standalone and Mobile Edge Computing, improving speed and reliability. Beyond connectivity, it will introduce smart solutions for environmental monitoring, wildfire prevention, agriculture, tourism, civil protection and social services. The project is led by dstelecom, with participation from NOS, innovationpoint and Irradiare, and is co-funded by the EU through the CEF Digital programme. Material taken from https://t.me/s/lepta
