The Ministry of Education has announced a phased application schedule for the 2026/27 academic year, starting on April 22. Applications for preschool and first grade run until June 1; for grades 6–9 and 11 from June 16 to 29; for grades 2–5 from July 1 to 13; and for grades 10 and 12 from July 15 to 22. Deadlines falling on weekends or public holidays shift to the next working day. Advancement between grades is generally automatic, with updates required only in specific cases. Children arriving from abroad may enroll year-round, subject to availability. Schooling is compulsory for ages 6 to 18.
