A new system, SINACC, has been introduced to replace the previous waiting list management mechanism in SNS. Its goal is to ensure patient access to specialists based on clinical priority and within guaranteed timeframes. Referrals for initial specialist visits are now issued exclusively through a unified electronic database, which prevents duplicate bookings. Waiting lists are organized by severity of condition, with earlier requests prioritized when urgency is equal. Appointment details are communicated primarily in digital form. To avoid delays, patients may be redirected to other facilities with available capacity, subject to their consent.
