Portugal’s government has extended the deadline for filing the 2025 corporate income tax return (IRC) until June 19 after severe storms disrupted businesses and accounting services across the country. The Finance Ministry said companies will be allowed to submit the Modelo 22 tax declaration by the new deadline without facing fines or penalties. The extension applies to all companies and organizations operating in Portugal, including those not directly affected by the adverse weather conditions. The original filing deadline had been set for May 31, but authorities decided to grant businesses additional time to meet their tax obligations in the aftermath of the storms.
