Starting this week, users accessing the Segurança Social portal with a NISS number and password will be required to use two-factor authentication (2FA). The measure is aimed at strengthening personal data protection and reducing the risks of fraud, phishing, and unauthorized account access. In addition to a password, users will now need to confirm logins with a verification code sent to the account holder. The agency also announced that users will be able to sign in using the email address linked to their account. Segurança Social advised users to verify that their email address and phone number are up to date to avoid login issues. The agency also reiterated warnings about fraudulent SMS messages and emails.
